The new water borehole near the Kpemale school. These boreholes draw clean water from deep under the ground, and will provide water all year round. Installing them near the school is a great way to increase school attendance, since students can go to school and then bring clean water home, instead of missing school and walking a long way to get water.

The boreholes are drilled by a specialty company after careful selection of the most effective locations. The pump design prevents water contamination, and the concrete floor helps keep the area clean. Run-off water gathers in a small basin at one end, so that animals can go drink at the basin without contaminating the pump area.
